What currencies does mediasmart support?

mediasmart default and the only currency used for bidding is USD, but our customers can decide to configure their accounts in:

  • United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED)

  • Australian Dollar (AUD)

  • Colombian Peso (COP)

  • Brazilian Real (BRL)

  • British pounds (GBP)

  • Euros (EUR)

  • Indian Rupees (INR)

  • Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)

  • Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)

  • Mexican Peso (MXN)

  • Thai Baht (THB)

  • US Dollars (USD)

Exchange rate logic

If a customer chooses USD, and all reports, configured solutions, and features show currency amounts in USD, no exchange rates will ever be applied.

If a customer chooses a different currency for their account, then all currency amounts will be shown in the console in the currency of choice, and conversions will be done using the daily exchange rate provided by Openexchangerates.org.

  • Example: Today is the 5th of February - the exchange rate, provided by Openexchangerates.org, applied for Today is the one from the 4th of February at 23.00 UTC.

  • So, if you enter pricing goals for CPM, CPC, CPA, or CPV in other currencies the prices will be converted to USD - our bidding currency - using the exchange rate of the day before the system places a bid. Then, the resulting winning price will be converted back to your console currency in your reports.
