⚙️ Companion ad

A companion ad is a secondary ad unit that appears alongside the primary ad, typically in digital video or audio campaigns. It provides additional branding or call-to-action opportunities.

Add or Edit a companion ad

Once on the Creative configuration page:

  1. Go to 'Companion Ad' in Advanced settings

  2. Choose and upload the companion ad, either as:
    A. an image/a banner (.JPG, .PNG, .GIF)
    B. an HTML code

  3. Don't forget to click on the 'Save changes' button to make the changes effective.

Image companion ad

A banner/image companion ad is used to provide a simple, reliable, and always-visible brand presence alongside a video ad. It’s lightweight, loads fast, works everywhere, and ensures the message is shown even if interactive or HTML ads aren’t supported.

How to set up

  1. Once you select 'Image', the fields you need to fill in will appear

  2. Upload the file.

  3. Add the Click URL of the companion ad.

HTML companion ad

An HTML companion ad markup is used because it enables interactive, dynamic, and trackable ads alongside video content. Compared to static images, it offers responsiveness, customization, and measurement, while maintaining a persistent brand presence during and after the video plays.

How to set up

  1. Once you select HTML, the fields you need to fill in will appear

  2. Add the HTML markup.

  3. Add the Click URL of the companion ad.
